Mouth (口) + 丩 (to entangle). The mouth letting out tangled sounds — a shout or a call.
It's used to introduce yourself: '我叫...' (My name is...). It's the verb for 'to be called', though it literally means 'to shout, to call'. It also means 'to order': '叫车' (to call a taxi).
