Radical 土 (earth) + 厶 (private). Leaving a private place out toward the open ground.
The opposite of 来 (to come). In purpose structures it pairs with another verb: '去吃饭' (to go and eat). In northern China people tend to use 去 more than 走 for 'to go'.
