电 (electricity) + 脑 (brain). The 'electric brain' is the computer — an apt metaphor also used in Japanese.
Taiwan writes it the same (電腦). Phones are 手机 (shǒujī, 'hand machine'), and tablets are often called 平板电脑 (píngbǎn diànnǎo, 'flat-board computer').
