生 (to be born, life) + 日 (sun, day). The day you were born — your birthday.
On Chinese birthdays it's traditional to eat long noodles (长寿面, chángshòu miàn) to wish for a long life. Birthday cake is eaten too, a Western influence. The 60th and 80th birthdays are celebrated in special ways.
今天是我的生日。
Jīntiān shì wǒ de shēngrì.
